THE SALCOMBE SUPPERS WAY.

Whilst you tuck into your Supper, unlike at our restaurant in Salcombe, we can’t offer you the same amazing view out onto the Salcombe estuary. But what we can offer is the same fresh seafood, at a fraction of the price, and all in the comfort of your own home.

We only use sustainably caught seafood, with as much as possible from Southwest England, and some further afield, due to where certain species are caught. Working with the highly reputable Crab Shed Salcombe, Catch of the Day Kingsbridge, and Channel Fisheries Brixham, we’re here to make enjoying seafood at home delicious, convenient, and sustainable.

  • USING LOCAL DAY-BOATS, WE ARE ABLE TO GET THE FRESHEST CATCH, BEFORE IT'S FROZEN.

  • THE CATCH IS THEN PROMPTLY DELIVERED TO OUR KITCHEN, WHERE WE PREP, MAKE, & FREEZE EACH SUPPER.

  • ORDERS ARE THEN DESPATCHED EACH TUESDAY OR THURSDAY, ARRIVING THE NEXT DAY.

SEAFOOD WASTAGE.

Back in 2021, apart from making delicious tasting Suppers, there wasn’t really a long-term purpose to Salcombe Suppers… Until we dug a bit further into what we were doing.

Before Crab Shed Salcombe, our family’s previous seafood restaurant was the award-winning Pierhouse, in Port Appin, on the West Coast of Scotland. Like Crab Shed Salcombe, most of the seafood served was from the beautiful water’s that overlooked the restaurant. As far as suppliers go, it’s always been quite simple for us – use as much of the finest, fresh, local produce that you can. Through doing further research into seafood and supermarkets (when daydreaming about seeing our Suppers lined up in Waitrose), this is when we realised how naive we were to the larger workings of the industry. Simply put, our way of working is a bit of a fairy tale.

OCEAN GENERATION.

From the first Supper sold, a donation has gone to the Ocean Generation movement. Not a percentage of any profits, a percentage per sale. 

We’ve continued to do this, and believe it’s only right that this never stops. Simply put, without the oceans, we don’t have a business, and we believe we must help protect them.
